About PuraCide-5

This very powerful Disinfectant/Cleaner is alcohol free. It uses concentrated solvent (glycol ether) to destroy the capsules of various organisms, especially the mycobacterium tuberdculi (TB).

PuraCide-5 has a distinct spectrum which includes Hepatitis-B and Hepatitis-C. This very virulent organism is spreading and further complicating problems of Infection Control. When the diagnosis has been confirmed for this organism, it requires careful and adequate use of PuraCide-5 on all inanimate surfaces, especially all respiratory devices.

The directions for use of PuraCide after spraying all inanimate surfaces, the entire areas must be thoroughly wiped dry. Since the formulation does NOT contain alcohol and is not viable, the wet surfaces must be wiped dry after 10 minutes.

When using PuraCide-5 in immersion procedures, the equipment or instruments should be removed after 10 minutes, rinsed with sterile and potable water, wiped dry and placed in a sterile container with a lid. The items may be wrapped and autoclaved for total sterilization. (See label for complete directions).
